Privacy.
Cast Six saves your rounds and streak using a random browser identifier in a cookie. Private gameplay reports help us understand how often puzzles are played and improve the game. We do not fingerprint your browser.
Optional usage analytics help us understand visits, where players find us, and which parts of the game work well. When enabled, Google Analytics uses cookies and browser information to measure visits and engagement. We don't send it email addresses, answers, or private account details, and we don't use analytics for advertising personalization.
When optional analytics are enabled, Cast Six also saves the referring website’s public domain and how a visit’s source was identified, alongside visits and game starts. We remove subdomains, page paths, search terms and link tokens, and never retain arbitrary campaign-tag text. These referral details stay in our private reports and are not sent to Google Analytics. Reports can compare a game’s arrival source with the same browser’s first recorded game source; this does not identify a person or reconstruct an unknown source.
Optional first-party analytics also record which puzzle pack cards stay visible for at least one second, their placement and display order, and whether a puzzle is started afterward. This helps us improve recommendations. These pack-view records are not sent to Google Analytics and do not include page URLs, movie answers or email addresses.
Feedback is optional. Tapping a thumb sends your rating; notes are sent only when you choose to save them. Puzzle ratings stay with that puzzle and your browser’s completed round. General feedback stays with your saved browser identity so we can understand repeat players’ experiences. We remember when a feedback prompt was shown, dismissed or answered to avoid asking too often. No name or email is required; please leave personal details out. Feedback is private to Cast Six administrators and is never sent to Google Analytics. Turning off optional analytics does not stop feedback you explicitly send.
Today’s puzzle and the archive are always free. The puzzle library is free for five puzzles a day per browser; resuming or replaying a puzzle you already opened doesn’t count, and the count resets at midnight Eastern. When offered at the daily library limit, feedback unlocks three extra puzzles for that Eastern day, once per day. A positive or negative rating earns the same bonus, and a written note is optional. We record the bonus with the feedback and show rewarded responses separately from other feedback. Signing up with your email anywhere on Cast Six unlocks unlimited library play in this browser. Signing in with your emailed link brings unlimited access to your saved account too. When you do, we store only that this browser unlocked the library and when, plus a salted one-way hash of your address so a repeat unlock counts once. We do not store the address itself in that record. A separate account record saves your progress automatically. The signup button clearly states that it saves progress and includes daily puzzle emails. Submitting opts you into those emails; you can unsubscribe anytime. That subscription is stored apart from game progress. Unlock records are never sent to Google Analytics.
Submitting your email saves your progress automatically and emails a sign-in link. We store a salted one-way hash of the address, the browser identifier your progress is saved under, and the time. We do not store the address itself in that account record or expose the identifier in API responses. Entering an address from another browser never replaces an existing account: open the automatically emailed sign-in link to continue its saved game. The emailed link is single use and expires in 30 minutes. Signing in brings the saved identity to this device; previous progress on this device stays behind, unmerged. Every sign-in request receives the same neutral answer. Unsubscribing stops daily reminders while preserving your account and sign-in access. Suppressed addresses receive no new emails. Account and sign-in records are never sent to Google Analytics.
Analytics reports are private. Cast Six administrators can view activity by saved browser identity, including puzzles started and finished, dates, and recorded visit sources. When you save progress by email, administrators can associate that saved identity with the email address held in the separate subscription record. This helps us understand repeat play and support saved accounts. An email association does not establish who played each round. Administrators can also access signup consent and reminder delivery history. These player reports and email associations are never sent to Google Analytics.
You can turn off optional browser analytics here. Your game still works and your results still save. Saved rounds remain available in private gameplay reports; turning off optional analytics stops optional visit and source collection. We also honor Global Privacy Control for optional browser analytics.
Browser preferences apply here only. Clearing browser data resets them. If you saved progress with your email, a sign-in link restores access to your saved rounds.
